The Information Centre offers a range of gifts and souvenirs, emphasising local design and production. As well as our Blandford-themed items, which include jigsaws, teatowels, teapot stands, postcards (and the pens to write them with!) and fridge magnets, we have ceramics and jewellery created by local makers and quirky garden ornaments made from upcycled metal objects.
Our beautiful 1,000-piece jigsaws of Blandford scenes would make perfect presents or souvenirs of our lovely town. The jigsaws were designed locally by James Wyatt, using photographs by local photographers Ian Fox, Pat Patrick, Ian Ferris and Nicci Brown, and produced just up the road by JHG Jigsaws Ltd, Ashmore. The designs are also available as postcards, together with other local scenes captured by Information Centre volunteers, and a compilation of historic postcards sent by members of the Royal Naval Division during the second world war.
We also have books, maps and leaflets of local walks to help you explore the area, including a new edition of “25 walks in 20 minutes” produced by one of our Volunteers, introducing four new walks within 20 minutes’ drive from Blandford.
The leaflets describing gentle strolls and more adventurous walks around Blandford can also be downloaded from our Maps and Guides page.
