Blandford’s mixture of big-name shops and small independent retailers helps to give the town centre its unique character. From antiques and butchers’ shops to wool and Xmas decorations, you’ll be surprised what you can find within a few minutes’ walk from the Information Centre. Pick up a bargain, or recycle your own pre-loved items, in one of the local or national charity shops. And don’t forget to check out the shops in the side streets and alleys including Barnack Walk, Nightingale Court, Georgian Passage and Tabernacle Walk.

There is a regular outdoor market in the Market Place on Thursdays and Saturdays, a Farmers’ and Makers’ Market on the fourth Sunday of the month, and a Craft Market in the Shambles (at the front of the Corn Exchange) on the second and fourth Fridays of the month
