About the Information Centre

Blandford Information Centre provides a wealth of information on this pretty Georgian town and the surrounding area, for residents and visitors alike. Our office is conveniently located adjacent to the town centre ‘Marsh and Ham’ car park, and our friendly volunteer staff are always happy to help you find what you need.

As well as providing information about local attractions and forthcoming events, accommodation, and walks around the town and countryside, we sell gifts, souvenirs, maps and much more.

So whether you want to explore Blandford’s stunning Georgian architecture or the beautiful Stour Valley countryside, visit the Hall & Woodhouse Brewery or one of Blandford’s three museums, or find out about events happening in Blandford and the surrounding area, come and see us first and we will help you to make the most of your visit.

What can we do for you?

We have information and leaflets about local attractions and forthcoming events, and sell tickets to some events. If you are arranging a community event, we can help to publicise it by displaying a poster in our window.

We have lists of hotels, bed and breakfasts and campsites in the town and surrounding area.

We have maps and leaflets for self-guided walks around the town and countryside, and information about the North Dorset Trailway: a traffic-free path for cyclists, horse riders and pedestrians which runs through the town.

We can provide bus timetables and can advise you on transport links within Dorset and beyond.

We also have postcards, local guidebooks, maps, gifts and souvenirs (including our exclusive Blandford-themed jigsaws) for sale. Have a look at our Souvenirs page for more information and gift ideas.
