Ollie the Otter is back! Explore Blandford town centre in search of Ollie, Molly, Baby Ottis and their friends, who will be hiding in the windows of shops and businesses.

This summer’s Otter trail runs through the whole of August. It’s only £2 to enter, will all the proceeds going to Naomi House & Jacksplace, a charity providing hospice care for children and young adults. Entry forms are available from  Cotton Moon at 9 East Street and Forum Cafe at 34 Salisbury Street.

You can follow ‘Ollie’s Travels’ on his Facebook page, where we will also announce the winners, prizes donated by local businesses, and future trails.

Explore Blandford in the past and present with the Blandford Town Museum’s free summer trail to discover what was in the town centre in 1900. The trail follows 20 locations around East Street, West Street, Salisbury Street and the Market Place and includes chemists, boot makers and printers. Each location will display a poster showing an artefact related to the shop, along with a simple question. When you have visited them all, come to the museum to see the artefacts, check your answers and collect a free badge.

The trail runs throughout the summer holidays, until Saturday 5 September. You can collect your free passport from the museum, or Click Here to download it from the Museum’s website, and enjoy your summer exploring!
